Keith Smith is a decorated 13-year law enforcement veteran and is currently serving as a Federal Law Enforcement Academy Instructor, responsible for his agency’s nationwide training certifications. Keith is a lead instructor and Subject Matter Expert on a broad range of topics such as Use of Force, Patrol Tactics, Scenario Development, Policy Analysis, Active Shooter, Defensive Tactics, and Firearms.
Based on feedback from his Agency’s leadership and past student attendees, he recently received the Agency Administrator Award for Outstanding Performance, relating to his Active Shooter course that he has delivered to nearly six thousand civilian employees throughout the country. Keith previously worked as a police officer in the State of Florida, serving as a Patrol Officer, Detective, Narcotics Officer, Field Training Officer, Sniper and CIRT Member. Keith holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from the University of Florida.
